To take third place in your first marathon you have to be made of the stuff of champions. Especially if your debut happens to be at the most important marathon in the world.
The young Kenyan athlete Bedan Karoki showed how it’s done on Sunday, 23 April 2017, coming in just a hair behind the much-lauded favourite, Kenenisa Bekele.
Recovery is a key factor for every macro training cycle, especially true for a marathon, where the sheer volume of kilometres to cover is impressive. This is exactly why a prepared therapist, fully equipped with technology that encourages the absorption of the catabolites produced during training, can make all the difference. For the WINTECARE pit crew, it will be a pleasure to treat Karoki, even as he trains in Japan.
