EA7 Milan Marathon 2018
Running the Milan marathon means not only aiming for a personal best, it is also a chance to discover a city with a wealth of history, culture, ancient and modern architecture, along the 42.195 km route of the race. It starts at Porta Venezia, and continues past Milan’s skyscrapers, the Unicredit and Diamante Towers and the Vertical Forest. Then it takes runners through more historical locations in the city, with Piazza Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, the Via Montenapoleone “fashion alleyâ”, Sforza Castle and Sempione Park. A fascinating route, therefore, not just for those taking part but also for all the spectators.
The WINTECARE team, with specialist Gabriele Bertelli and Fabio Bertenghi, a collaborator from the Brescia marathon centre, provided assistance for the athletes Edwin Koech, reigning champion, Abdivak Tura Seifu, Loyo Elena, Adbi Assefa and Kabuu Wangui Lucy.
What more could we have asked for than to be right there alongside the reigning champion Edwin Koech and this year’s new champion Abdivak Tura Seifu.
